Barry Setterfield is a creation scientist whose stated goal is to let data lead to theory. He participated in November 1965 in a project to find a location for the largest telescope for the Southern Hemisphere which was being planned for Australia. Earlier in 1965 he was asked by the Astronomical Society of South Australia (ASSA) to complete and prepare for publication the research of the former Government Astronomer for South Australia, George Dodwell who had died the previous year. From 1966 to 1971 he lectured in Astronomy for the ASSA, as well as presenting astronomy to schools, colleges and scout groups. At the request of SRI (Stanford Research) International, Barry prepared, along with co-author Trevor Norman, a 90 page report on the speed of light and other constants. Since then he has developed this work further, culminating in a model which combines Stochastic Electro-Dynamics with Plasma Cosmology, accounting for not only measured data regarding the speed of light and Planck's constant, but also predicting the observed quantization of the astronomical red shift. He has authored a 465 page monograph on this work, which was published in 2013. Since 2000, Barry and Helen have lectured at Bible schools, colleges, schools and churches in the USA, New Zealand and Australia and presented their research in a number of forums. In the fifteen years we have been married, I have seen him accept criticisms calmly and change when the data they presented required it. His ego never got in the way. He has followed the data, convinced that Paul's words in Romans 1 regarding the evidence of creation itself need to be taken very seriously. ...
